Most of CIHAD’s procurement contracts span one fiscal year (October 1 – September 30).  Just prior to the beginning of each fiscal year, CIHAD solicits bids for material and services for the coming year.  Emergency or special circumstance purchasing may occur throughout the year.

Notice to the public will be provided by placing an Invitation to Bid in a local newspaper of general circulation, as well as in a Native American publication.  All procurement activity will follow CIHAD’s established procurement policy and procedures listed below:

Indian Preference Points:

CIHAD, to the greatest extent feasible, will provide Indian preference in the award of all contracts.  Each entity requesting Indian preference must submit an Indian Preference Qualification Application, together with all other required documentation.
